Online Car Auctions
One of the most fun experiences I’ve had around cars is buying them at auctions. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I will never buy a new car ever again!
And to share in the good fortune of picking up a reliable vehicle that you may never have been able to afford otherwise, here is a list of online car auction sites that you might want to consider for yourself.
Keep in mind that you can use these sites to find anything from cars, trucks, motorbikes, RVs, motorhomes, boats, and any other off-road vehicle you can think of. You’re also able to look for local auctions nearest you to make the drive home that much more convenient. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with making a vacaction out of the deal as well — have fun with it!
Government Auctions.org is without a doubt my favorite of the online car auction websites for two reasons…
- It has one of the largest inventories and,
- It’s not uncommon to pick up something for 70-95% off of their original value!
I believe it definitely offers the best opportunity for the greatest amount of savings. Expect to find seized and pre-owned government vehicles here that aren’t advertised anywhere else online. Don’t be surprised to bid as little as $100 and win your bid but for the most part, you may have to spend a few hundred dollars more — it’s not uncommon to pick up a nice car for under one thousand dollars!
You really can’t go wrong with this site, in my humble opinion.
SeizeCars.com is another one of my favorite websites for car auctions. Again, seized and surplus vehicles make up the inventory, as well as foreclosure listings. The inventory may not be as large as GovernmentAuctions.org but is made up of entirely different cars and trucks.
American Car Bargains has another totally different inventory and also gives you access to government auctions, seized and surplus, and foreclosure auto auctions.
TheCarPass.com is actually a pretty good membership site that taps into a variety of online auto auction sites to help you pinpoint the car you’re looking for. A good option to add to your own inventory of online car auction sites.
